Inquiries and contact information

When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, project description, and any optional company, industry, business stage, service interest, and timing details you provide. We record the inquiry source and submission time. We use these details to review your request, respond, and discuss a possible engagement.

Website inquiries are stored through Netlify and reviewed through GEAR’s restricted internal workspace. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list or create a paid engagement.

Public AI assistant

Messages you send to the public assistant are processed by OpenAI to generate a response. The assistant can make mistakes; confirm project requirements, pricing, and commitments directly with GEAR.

New public chat transcripts are not saved to GEAR’s chat-history database. Messages remain in the active browser session to support the conversation. If you choose to provide contact details through the assistant’s inquiry flow, those details and your project description are stored as an inquiry. AI-provider processing and retention are governed by the applicable provider terms.

Do not enter credentials, confidential company documents, health information, payment-card data, or other sensitive information into the public chat or inquiry form.

Accounts and browser storage

If you sign in to a client or internal workspace, authentication is handled through Supabase. The browser stores the session information needed to keep you signed in. The optional installed-app feature stores a basic offline page and icons; it is not intended to store private API responses for offline access.

The public marketing site does not currently use advertising pixels or a visitor-tracking analytics integration. The time-capacity calculator runs in your browser; its entries are not sent to GEAR.

Hosting, scheduling, and other providers

Netlify hosts this website and its inquiry storage. Supabase supports account authentication and private workspaces. OpenAI processes public assistant messages. Booking links open Calendly, where information you enter is handled under its notice. Google Fonts may receive ordinary web-request information when fonts load. Providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to operate their services.

Provider locations and processing arrangements may differ from your location. Project-specific hosting or residency requirements must be discussed before sharing project data.

Retention and requests

Inquiries and any older stored chat records remain stored until GEAR deletes them; these records currently have no automatic expiration. Contact admin@gear-consultant.com to request access, correction, or deletion, or to ask about retention for your information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Provider logs, backups, and any records that must be retained may have different retention periods. Do not send additional sensitive information with an initial privacy request.

Changes and project agreements

We will update this page when the website’s information-handling practices change. This notice does not replace a project agreement, confidentiality agreement, or a separately agreed data-processing arrangement.
